PA Committees
Our committees help plan and organize a wide variety of important happenings including social and community service events, Teacher Appreciation Week, our Annual School Gala, the Harvest Festival, just to name a few.
We know that our parents lead busy lives and want to reassure you that there is no minimum time commitment. We work hard to accommodate all schedules so that any parent who would like to be involved can be.
Teacher Appreciation
Our Teacher Appreciation Committee celebrates the incredible ECC staff throughout the year, by planning monthly treats and surprises for our hardworking staff, culminating in a weeklong “Teacher Appreciation Week” event every spring.
Community Engagement
The community engagement committee is responsible for hosting social events with a goal of bringing parents together throughout the year. Community Engagement includes (but isn’t limited to) things like: Mah Jong Tournaments, Parents’ Nights Out, Book Clubs, Jewish Cultural Enrichment, and more
KULANU
The KULANU committee hosts community service activities throughout the year, like visiting food banks and assembling hygiene kits for the homeless. KULANU’s biggest annual event is the ECC’s Clothing Swap. This year, KULANU will also partner with the synagogue in turning VBS green!
Harvest Festival
The Harvest Festival Committee plans and executes our annual Fall Festival, a great weekday event on-campus that helps our ECC families celebrate Sukkot and enjoy nature.
Spiritwear
The SpiritWear Committee is responsible for designing and selling our amazing VBS Swag through our online store and on-campus at select events.
Hanukkah Boutique
One of our biggest annual fundraisers, the Hanukah Boutique is a joint event with the Day School in which we turn VBS into a holiday marketplace for families and friends to shop.
All-Schools Gala
The Gala Committee works with the Day School Gala Chairs to plan our annual all-schools gala, a fun night out for parents and huge fundraiser for the ECC!
Nowruz
Our Nowruz Committee helps celebrate and educate families about Persian New Year! Our smallest time commitment, Nowruz only comes once-a-year.
Trike-A-Thon
Our Trike-A-Thon committee works closely with our Oaks Teachers and ECC admins to plan and execute the annual Oaks Trike-A-Thon.
Siyyum
Siyyum is our Oaks graduation ceremony. Siyyum committee members will work closely with ECC admins to plan and execute our graduation ceremony for Pre-K and TK.
Party Book Events
Our Party Book Events are micro fundraisers... and major "friend"-raisers! Party Books bring parents together for social events that also give back to the school.
